ULTRAFIP 605

PRODUCTS FOR THE REMOVAL OF ORGANIC AND INORGANIC CONTAMINANTS FROM MULTIMETAL SURFACES

Technical features

ULTRAFIP 605 is a liquid, fluid yellow compound. Its pH in a 1% aqueous solution is 2.6 while at 15 ° C the specific weight is 1.09. The product mainly consists of the mixture of a series of diversified surfactants capable of guaranteeing the rapid solubilization of contaminations (including particularly tough cleaning pastes) without opacifying or chemically damaging the surfaces.
This prerogative allows the use of the compound even in the presence of parts made of mixed materials (eg stainless steel pots with aluminum bottoms) allowing the total elimination of processing residues while safeguarding lighter surfaces from attack.
An important prerogative of ULTRAFIP 605 is the particular brightness guaranteed to the treated pieces.
The high degreasing degree that characterizes ULTRAFIP 605 makes it usable even in the decontamination phase in galvanic and hot dip galvanizing cycles.

Usage and Applications

The concentrations of use of ULTRAFIP 605 can be roughly obtained from the table below.
Contact times usually vary, depending on the operating conditions between 30 "and 5". Preferably, ultrasound treatments are recommended.

Control of bathing

The bath is titrated by determining the acidity with phenolphthalein indicator and sodium hydrate 0.1 N titrating solution by operating as follows:
using a graduated pipette, take 10 ml of bath and place them in a 250 ml flask. Add 5-6 drops of phenolphthalein and titrate with 0.1 N NaOH until the solution changes from colorless to stable pink. The number of ml of 0.1 N NaOH consumed by the titration multiplied by 4.6 gives the concentration in g / l of the bath.
For each missing ml (point) and for every 1000 liters of bath add 4.6 kg of ULTRAFIP 605.
