FIPRO SG 580 is an alkaline interoperational degreaser used for washing and simultaneous anticorrosive protection of the processed material. Designed for the removal of machining oils from surfaces in ferrous material or aluminum alloys in spray treatment systems. FIPRO SG 580 is a synthetic formulation free from mineral oils.
The degree of protection provided by FIPRO SG 580, if not rinsed, is compatible with the storage of the treated materials in covered warehouses and can be evaluated with the UNI 9374 and 9375 regulations.
Usage and Applications
The product can be used as a protective interoperational degreaser in single-stage systems or as an antioxidant in the final rinses before the drying stage. The main use of FIPRO SG 580 is in spray treatment plants or where there is the possibility of combining a mechanical action with a controlled foam washing solution.

Solution temperature: 30 - 70 ° C
If used as an antioxidant in the final rinse concentrations between 1 and 2%.

Control of bathing
Concentration control is performed by titration of the total alkalinity present in the solution, using the following method:
Take 10 ml of washing solution and place them in a flask
Add about 6-8 drops of Bromine Cresol Green Indicator
Titrate with 0.1 N hydrochloric acid until turning from blue to yellow
The ml of 0.1 N hydrochloric acid used represent the total alkalinity value.
To obtain the concentration in g / l, multiply the value obtained by the fixed number “4.65”, in the usual working concentration ranges (ie for values between 20 and 50 g / l).
The frequency of checks must be established according to the specific application. In the absence of particular conditions, a daily concentration determination is recommended, sufficient to establish the trend in product consumption.
