Technical specifications
ULTRAFIP 643 is a liquid product, suitable for all metals and plastics, specifically for removing polishing pastes and heavy grease. The use of ultrasound enhances its cleaning power.
It is used with excellent results in electroplating for costume jewellery parts and in the eyewear and cutlery industry.
ULTRAFIP 643 is free of boron, chlorinated or petroleum solvents, and thanks to special inhibitors and pH buffering it does not oxidise brass or copper. Suitable for treating aluminium parts. Given the wide variety of materials on the market, it is however advisable to carry out preliminary tests on the specific metal to be treated.
Use and Application
Ultrafip 643 is used in immersion baths, possibly with ultrasound.
Good degreasing results can already be achieved at temperatures of 50-60 °C; for heavily soiled situations (e.g. polishing pastes containing adhesives, which are very difficult to remove) it may be necessary to work at temperatures of up to 70-75 °C.
ULTRAFIP 643 is used in aqueous solution, by immersion, under the following operating conditions:
Bath temperature: 50 - 75 °C
Treatment time: 3 - 30 minutes
Bath formation 10 - 50 g/l

Bathroom control
With a graduated pipette, take 10 ml of cooled bath at room temperature and place in a 250 ml beaker.
Add approx. 50 ml demineralised water and 3-4 drops of bromocresol green indicator.
The solution will turn blue blue.
.Titrate with 0.1 N hydrochloric acid slowly until it turns from blue to yellow and read off the ml of hydrochloric acid consumed, representing the bath score.
A bath prepared at a concentration of 20 g/l will have a bath score of 7.8 ml.

Power supply
For each missing point add 2.5 kg of product per 1000 kg of liquor.
The Fiprokim Technical Service will provide, during the plant start-up phase, the optimal conditions of use, depending on the quality and quantity of the foreign substances to be removed present on the surface of the material and on the type of plant itself.
