Technical specifications
ULTRAFIP 627 is a liquid product, suitable for all metals, specifically for the removal of polishing pastes and heavy grease.
It is used with excellent results in electroplating for costume jewellery parts and in the eyewear and cutlery industry.
Thanks to its special formulation, free of boron, EDTA, chlorinated or petroleum solvents, it does not oxidise brass or copper, even with long periods of contact. The use of ultrasound enhances its cleaning power.
Usage and Applications
Ultrafip 627 is used in immersion baths, possibly with ultrasound.
Good degreasing results can already be achieved at temperatures of 60-65 °C; for heavy soiling
(e.g. polishing pastes containing adhesives, which are very difficult to remove) it may be necessary to work at
temperatures of up to 75 and 80 °C.
ULTRAFIP 627 is used in an aqueous, immersion solution under the following operating conditions:
Bath temperature: 50 - 80 °C
Treatment time: 3 - 30 minutes
Liquor formation 10 - 60 g/l

Bathroom control
With a graduated pipette, take 20 ml of the cooled bath at room temperature and place it in a 250 ml beaker.
. Add about 50 ml of demineralised water and 3-4 drops of phenolphthalein indicator.
The solution will turn pink.
Titrate with 0.1 N hydrochloric acid slowly until it turns from pink to colourless and read off the ml of hydrochloric acid
consumed, representing the bath score.
A bath prepared at a concentration of 20 g/l will have a bath score of 8 ml.
