Technical features
ULTRAFIP 602 is a caustic alkaline liquid product formulated for the degreasing of stainless steel and ferrous materials. It is indicated for the removal of oils, greasy substances and carbon residues.
Since the product is highly caustic, it causes surface aggression of non-ferrous alloys such as aluminum alloys or galvanized iron. It is therefore not recommended to use these types of alloys unless you want to obtain a slight attack on the surface (priming effect) for subsequent painting. In this case, the product must be rinsed thoroughly after degreasing.
To give the product greater cleaning power against oily contamination, it is advisable to use a detergent condensate that the Fiprokim Technical Service will be able to suggest according to the cycle and operating conditions.
ULTRAFIP 602 contains antioxidant and passivating agents that preserve the surface over time against oxidation.
Usage and Applications
ULTRAFIP 602 is used in spray or immersion degreasing systems in the following operating conditions:

Control of bathing
Take 10 ml of bath, put them in a flask (or beaker), add a few drops of METHYLORANGE indicator.
The solution has a YELLOW color. Titrate with 0.1 N HCl until the RED color appears. The ml of 0.1 N hydrochloric acid consumed in the titration indicate the score and the total alkalinity of the ULTRAFIP 602 bath. To obtain the concentration of the bath in gr / l, the score must be multiplied by the fixed factor 1.50.

Alimentation
The bath should be checked periodically and maintained at the established concentration with regular additions.
A continuous feeding by means of a dosing pump allows to obtain the best results.
For each missing point and for every 1000 liters of bath add about 1.5 kg of ULTRAFIP 602.
Storage
The product in its original packaging and stored in a suitable way (+ 7 ÷ 35 ° C) has a validity period of 2 years from the date of production. It is recommended not to store at temperatures below 5 ° C to avoid freezing phenomena.
