METALFIP 303 is a specific phospho-decorating agent for painting lines, to be used where a strong deoxidising action combined with a phosphating action is required.
METALFIP 303 is formulated with low foaming and is therefore suitable for use in spraying machines even at temperatures of 40 °C. It effectively removes machining, protective and moulding oils from metal surfaces while developing a phosphate coating that is ideal for paint anchoring.

Usage and Applications
METALFIP 305 should be used in immersion tanks, diluted in water at varying percentages depending on the working temperature.
Submerge the parts in the prepared solution at temperatures between room temperature and 40 °C. During the cold season, the solution can be conveniently heated with rubber coils and steam passage, or Teflon-coated heating elements, so that pickling times are not excessively long.
Soaking time can vary from a few minutes to over 1 or 2 hours, depending on the type of iron, its thickness, type of oxide and temperature.
Pieces must be degreased in advance to avoid alterations in the bath, which would affect durability.
In contrast to pickling baths for stainless steel, iron pickling baths are difficult to refill and it is recommended to replace the bath once it has run out.
In any case, iron pickling baths rarely last more than a few months.
