METALFIP 301 is a liquid product suitable for priming the glossy and greasy surfaces of hot-dip galvanised articles before painting.
Since the product is of acid origin, on contact with the material to be treated it gives rise to a slight pickling action, creating a chemical satin finish (etching) that considerably increases the adhesion of the paint on the surface.
The product is thixotropic, i.e. once applied it has a high viscosity, and therefore remains well adhered even to vertical and large surfaces.

Usage and Applications
METALFIP 301 is used as it is, using a brush for application, but it can also be sprayed with a pump (rinsing is recommended).
Depending on the degree of etching desired, it can be left on for 10 to 30 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly with mains water at room temperature or hot, wait until the surface is perfectly dry before starting painting operations.

Warnings
METALFIP 303 is acidic. We therefore recommend the normal precautions when using an acid product.
