FIPROSTRIP COVER LAYER is a product that is mainly used in the paint stripping industry where, due to the high temperatures involved, there is a need to limit paint stripper evaporation in order to limit paint stripper consumption and emissions into the atmosphere
It is an oil-based product, immiscible with most water-based formulations, which forms a layer on the surface of the tank that limits evaporation of the product underneath.
As it is oil-based and forms a surface layer that 'floats', this product remains on the surface of parts that are extracted from the tank, which must then be rinsed off before re-use.
Usage and Applications
FIPROSTRIP COVER LAYER is used pure.
The quantity to be used must be assessed on a case-by-case basis and depends on the temperature, the type of paint stripper and the shape of the tank.
The quantity of FIPROSTRIP COVER LAYER to be placed in the tank is assessed in centimetres of thickness. A couple of centimetres thick is usually sufficient to limit the evaporation of the paint stripper by many percentage points. As the layer is removed from the parts removed from the tank, it must be adequately replenished.
