Technical specifications
It is used in the removal of powder paint from workpiece frames, hooks and workpieces with paint defects. Use on ferrous material and steel. Do not apply on aluminium and galvanised alloys.
Usage and Applications
The product is used pure, immersion or recirculation, and performs best at temperatures between 50 and 60°C. Contact time depends on the type and amount of paint to be removed, usually ranging between 20' and 120'.
Once the parts have been treated, rinse thoroughly with water.
Tanks for the use of FIPROSTRIP 288 should be made of steel, preferably stainless steel, and be fitted with a closing lid to minimise evaporation losses.

Control of bathrooms
When the paint stripper bath level drops, top up to the desired level with FIPROSTRIP 1101.
After topping up, carry out alkalinity analysis as follows to balance the bath correctly.
. - Add approx. 100 ml demineralised water;
- add 5-6 drops of phenolphthalein indicator;
- homogenise the solution;
- titrate with 0.1 N hydrochloric acid, while stirring, until the colour of the solution changes from pink to colourless;
- the consumption of hydrochloric acid required for colour change, represents the bath score.

Power supply
The minimum bath score must be 17 ml hydrochloric acid 0.1 N.
. If the score should be lower, add FIPROSTRIP 299 ADD in an amount equal to 20 kg of product for each point (ml) of acid less than 17 and per 1000 litres of liquor.
The value of a bath in formation is between 18 and 19 points.
Storage
Avoid contact with acids. Plant materials may be common iron, avoid contact with galvanised and aluminium.
.Avoid shocks, improper handling, which can lead to spillage.
. Protect against frost.
Applications
Repairing hooks and frames
. Recovery of defective parts for subsequent repainting
