FIPROPLUS 717 is an acid-based additive, used as a "starter" to increase the trivalent iron content in freshly formed nitric acid-free stainless steel pickling baths. The increase in the concentration of trivalent iron allows for excellent pickling speeds even with a new bath.

Usage and Applications

FIPROPLUS 717 is used in pickling baths for stainless steel formed with FIPROSTEEL 762. The trivalent iron content within FIPROPLUS 717 is approximately 110 grams / liter. Then dose the product in such a quantity as to have the desired iron content in the pickling bath.
