FIPROPHOS 520 is a liquid phosphodegreaser designed for the pre-painting treatment of iron, aluminum and zinc products for immersion or pressure lance applications.
FIPROPHOS 520 is used in industrial painting and performs a combined action of degreasing and phosphating. The treated surfaces, in fact, as well as being clean, are covered with a thin amorphous layer of ferrous phosphate, blue / red, which increases the corrosion resistance characteristics of the metal and which constitutes an excellent anchorage for subsequent painting.
Usage and Applications
FIPROPHOS 520 is used by immersion at concentrations between 4% and 6% at temperatures between 40 ° C and 60 ° C with contact times of no less than 2 - 3 minutes.
For use with a pressure lance, however, use the product at a concentration of 0.5% - 1% with temperatures above 50 ° C.
In both cases, rinse and dry the pieces thoroughly before painting.
To obtain good phosphating, the pH of the baths must be kept in a range between 3.5 and 5.0.

Storage
Avoid knocks and improper handling of the packaging which can cause the product to leak. Protect from freezing, store away from heat sources, keep containers tightly closed.
