Technical features
FIPRODISK 103 is indicated for the removal of encrustations from galvanized material and stainless steel with minimal attack of the base metal.
Indicated on galvanized sheet metal and stainless steel parts where the use of common descalers based on hydrochloric acid is not recommended due to the characteristics of the metal of the system.
Being acidic, FIPRODISK 103 is particularly aggressive but thanks to suitable inhibitors this action is particularly buffered and safe even on galvanized supports.

Usage and Applications
The product is used in the recommended dilutions, by immersion or recirculation, at room temperature for galvanized, even hot for steel.
For galvanized material do not exceed 3-4 hours of contact with the metal as the material could be attacked.
Once the "descaling" action has been completed, rinse thoroughly with running water and neutralize the product with passivating agent such as FIPROPLUS 724 for galvanized surfaces or ALCAFIP 250 alkaline corrector for stainless steel surfaces.
It is recommended to use the product using tanks lined with PVC, or if small in polyethylene, polypropylene, etc.

Control of bathing
Take 10 ml of the solution to be titrated and place them in a flask / beaker
Add 5-6 drops of methyl orange indicator. The solution will turn a deep red color
Titrate with 1 N sodium hydrate until a persistent yellow color of the solution is obtained
To obtain the concentration in gr / lt multiply the value obtained by the fixed number “24.5”. For example, a 100 g / L (10%) solution will have a score of 4.1 mL of NaOH.
Precautions and Storage
FIPRODISK 103 is acidic. We therefore recommend the normal precautions when using an acid product.
Avoid contact and inhalation of the product. Wear rubber gloves and respiratory protection. However, if the product comes into contact with the skin or eyes, wash thoroughly with water and consult a doctor. Keep the container tightly closed, in a ventilated, cool and dry place.
