FIPRO SG 598 is a liquid alkaline degreaser for spray and electrolytic applications for cleaning steel and galvanised steel.
Usage and Applications
FIPRO SG 598 should be used in aqueous solution, by spraying or electrolytically, under the following conditions:
Temperature: 60 ÷ 80 °C
Contact time: 1 ÷ 3'
Bath formation: 20 ÷ 50 g/l

Bathroom control
Take 10 ml of bath
. Pour into an Erlenmeyer flask/becker
Add 3-5 drops of phenolphthalein indicator
Titrate with 0.1 N sulphuric acid until purple to colourless
. The ml of acid consumed for toning represents the bath score, which for a preparation at a
concentration of 10 g/l is about 5.0.

Power supply
For each point consumed add 2 kg of FIPRO SG 598 for every 1000 l of bath.
Storage
Tanks: Common steel and DIN EN 10025, special steels No. 1.4541 and No. 1.4571
Keep degreasing solution free of contaminants: skim off and remove by overflowing any impurities
such as oil or dirt floating on the surface of the bath. Before refilling the bath, ensure
remove any deposits that may have formed on the bottom of the bath. When transporting, storing, handling and draining the waste, follow the instructions and laws in force.
Avoid improper handling of the packaging, which can lead to product spillage.
Protect from frost, store away from heat sources and direct sunlight, keep containers tightly
closed.
The possible formation of a black precipitate at the bottom of the product containers does not affect the degreasing
performance of the product. degreasing performance of the product itself.
