Technical specifications
FIPRO SG 560 is a completely volatile solvent that has a barely perceptible odour that does not develop over time, even when exposed to heat and light, unlike other conventional hydrocarbon solvents. This characteristic makes it ideal for uses where a pleasant smell is essential, such as household products, cleaning electronic components and metal surfaces, barbecue liquids, cosmetics, graphics and odourless paints, as well as in the textile, metalworking and general automotive industries and in the transport sector. It has a low solvent power towards most resins, plastics and rubbers, allowing safe use even in the presence of seals of various kinds. However, given the wide variety of synthetics available on the market, it is advisable to first carry out a compatibility test by immersing a sample of material in FIPRO SG 560 for a few hours. In the mechanical sector it is used for degreasing metal surfaces, either inter-operational or prior to painting or other treatments. It is designed for all cleaning operations, by wiping or immersion, where the use of pure chlorinated solvents is inadvisable.
FIPRO SG 560 removes contamination consisting of oils, dusts, greases, etc.
Usage and Applications
If used by dipping:
Simply immerse the parts to be cleaned in the product, preferably with gentle agitation, especially in the presence of solid particles and/or adhering swarf.
. The temperature of use can vary from ambient to 30-32 °C. However, it is recommended not to exceed the flash point.
The drying speed of the workpieces depends on the operating temperature: when working in cold environments, it is convenient to let the workpieces drip thoroughly after extraction, and leave them exposed in a ventilated environment for at least fifteen minutes, to allow them to dry completely.
The product can - very conveniently - be used in the presence of ultrasound as a degreasing accelerator. This is especially useful when surfaces are soiled with adhering solid residues.
If used by brush:
The product is particularly suitable for mop or brush application. In this case, the mechanical rubbing action, combined with the product's emollient and solvent power and its ability to penetrate (even where tolerances are extremely tight) allows for perfect and fast cleaning of the parts being treated.

Storage
We recommend metal tanks: e.g. iron or steel are perfectly suitable. The fittings can be made of brass. For plant materials in contact with the product, we advise against the use of rubbers and paints, which may be damaged or swollen in the long run.
Any heating elements can be made of stainless steel (or, with less guarantee of durability, of copper). As far as heating is concerned, the use of immersed heating elements must be avoided at all costs, due to the danger of overheating and malfunctions that could result in fire. Use heating fluids (e.g. hot water) and provide an additional safety thermostat at a temperature below 35 °C.
