Technical features
FIPRO SG 1020 is a strongly alkaline solid formulation used for the immersion degreasing, with or without ultrasound, of ferrous material and copper alloys surface, in galvanic systems; the product is particularly suitable for the removal of oils or cleaning pastes or fats.
FIPRO SG 1020 consists of a mixture of caustic alkalis, alkaline polyphosphates, sequestering and complexing agents and non-ionic and anionic surfactants.
Usage and Applications
FIPRO SG 1020 should be used by immersion in aqueous solution, under the following operating conditions:
Treatment time 2-5 minutes
Bath temperature 50-70 ° C
Concentration of the bath 50 ÷ 100 g / l
The optimal use values will, however, be set by the Fiprokim Technical Service, case by case, during the start-up phase of the plant, according to the quality and quantity of foreign substances to be removed present on the surface of the material, of the type of material to be removed. treat and the plant itself.

Bathroom control
The control of the bath is carried out by determining the free alkalinity, as follows:
take 10 ml of bath using a calibrated pipette, place them in a conical flask, dilute them with distilled water and add a few drops of phenolphthalein. The solution will turn violet red. Titrate with acid (sulfuric or hydrochloric) 0.1N until the color changes from violet to colorless.
The number of ml of 0.1N acid consumed for toning gives the bath's free alkalinity score:
a bath prepared at 50 g / l has a score of approximately 6.0 while one prepared at 100 g / l has a score of approximately 12.

Alimentation
The bathroom must be checked at least once or twice a day and maintained at the concentration established at the time of start-up. If the score is lower than its initial value, add 8.5 kg of FIPRO SG 1020 to the bath for each missing point and for every 1000 l of bath.
Storage
For all information relating to the storage, handling and treatment of FIPRO SG 1020, please refer to the relative safety data sheet.
