FIPRO SG 1012 is an alkaline inter-operational degreaser used for washing and temporary corrosion protection of processed material. It is designed for the removal of swarf and machining oils from ferrous, aluminium, galvanised, copper and yellow alloy surfaces in spray treatment plants.
FIPRO SG 1012 is a formulation based on soaps, non-ionic and cationic surfactants and amines, free of chlorides.
Usage and Applications
The product can be used as a protective inter-operational degreaser in single and multi-stage spray systems. The main use of FIPRO SG 1012 is in spray treatment plants or where there is the possibility of combining a mechanical action with controlled foam washing solution.
FIPRO SG 1012 makes it possible to combine a restrained foam effect with de-emulsifying and sanitising properties.

Bathroom control
Concentration control is performed by titration of the total alkalinity present in solution, using the following method:
Take 10 ml of wash solution and place in an Erlenmeyer flask
. Add about 6-8 drops of bromine cresol green indicator
Titrate with 0.1 N hydrochloric acid until blue to yellow turning
The ml of Hydrochloric Acid 0.1 N used represents the total alkalinity value.
