The process
Pickling is the process of removing oxides from the surface of metals by solubilising them in a chemical medium.
It is a fundamental process in the modern manufacturing industry, an indispensable process involving all industrial sectors where there is some processing of metal.
This treatment removes surface defects and impurities such as oxides (thermal, due to corrosion, or from welding) and machining residues, restoring the quality of the material that invariably undergoes changes during processing.
This process can be applied by dipping, spraying, or brushing, and can be based on numerous chemical agents: the wide range of Fiprokim pickling products covers any application and type of surface or artefact to be treated, guaranteeing efficacy and safe results.
Fiprokim's range of pickling agents
Fiprokim has more than 20 years' experience in the research, formulation, production and marketing of metal treatment chemicals.
The variety of formulations available allows more alternatives to be selected to meet the customer's needs. For each type of material or surface, there are both liquid and gel products, with different concentrations and speed of action, adaptable to numerous process conditions. There are numerous formulations with low environmental impact, nitric and/or hydrofluoric-free and appropriately additivated
Processing and materials
Products for the manufacturing sector, in particular the engineering sector.
Specifically for the treatment of materials such as iron, steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminium and its alloys, titanium, galvanised.
Suitable as 'inter-operational' for removing chips, dust, residues and oxides from processing, but also as final treatment on finished products before marketing.
